Title: Relentless
Author: Skye Jordan
Series: Renegades #4
Release Date: June 22, 2015
Genre: Hot Contemporary Romance
Bad boy Troy Jacobs is all about taking risks. As a stunt double for Hollywood’s A-listers, there’s no fall he won’t attempt. With one exception—women. Troy fell hard once, and it nearly broke him. Since then, he’s vowed never to trust like that again and he’s got everything under control. Until the woman who shattered his heart years before shows up on his movie-set.
Country music star Giselle “Ellie” Diamond learned long ago that sometimes love isn’t enough. When love got in the way of her goals, she made the tough choice to let go of happily ever after and chased the glitz and glamour of the stage. It may not be all she expected, but now it’s all she has. And with a worldwide tour on the line, Ellie needs one last gig to rocket her toward stardom: a high-profile role in a blockbuster film.
Passion sparks, and old feelings return. But while Troy and Ellie grow closer their problems from the past simmer in the background. And this time around, there's more tearing them apart than just one star-studded career.

5 **HOLY HOTNESS** STARS
“There was nothing gentle or sweet about this need. This was a fierce, dark need. The need to take. To claim. To own.”
Ultimate guilty-pleasure-feel-good-sexy-summer read of 2015. Yes, the summer just started, but I'm calling it right now. I challenge every other author to top this steamy goodness. Seriously. If you can out-steam Skye Jordan I'll make cookies!
But I'm getting way off mark here. Relentless was good. Perfect addition to the Renegades series and I'm almost inclined to say my favourite one yet. Why? You ask?
Let me break it down for you:
second chance romance ✓
kinky alpha male ✓
sex with a sort of/maybe stranger ✓
sweet love story ✓
uber-sexy Renegade stuntmen ✓
drama, baby! ✓
“Let me make this crystal-fucking-clear, Ellie. If you don't leave this room - and I mean right now - I'm going to fuck you as long as you let me fuck you, I'll call in sick tomorrow. I'll get fired. I'll die of starvation before I stop fucking you.”
Something I especially love about this series are the creative and incredibly sexy meet-cutes between the two main characters. We've already seen Jax and Lexi sexting at an airport in Reckless, Rachel and Ryker hooking up unaware of their co-worker status in Ricochet. Luckily for us Relentless is no exception.
Picture this...a country star and a stuntman walk into a sex club. Sounds like the start of a joke, but it turns out to be a rather steamy reunion between two star-crossed lovers.
“The devil sent his demons away to play on their own. I've got a sudden taste for something more...heavenly...tonight.”
Ellie and Troy had known each other since the day they met in foster care. Friendship became love and soon they became inseparable.
That is until seven years ago when emerging country singer Giselle “Ellie” Diamond decided that her career was more important than her relationship with her boyfriend. A decision that lead her to a successful future, but a lonely existence at the top.
Troy Jacobs now a Renegades stuntman still has a lot of anger and resentment about the events from seven years ago and when his job leads him to Las Vegas the very place where Ellie's face is planted on every billboard, he is forced to confront those demons and face the woman who broke his heart years ago.
Encounters in a sex club and on movie sets ensue.
“Oh, I'd never forget you, angel. Maybe we met in another life...if you believe in that sort of thing.”
I loved this story a lot, the characters are amazing and the action is rather entertaining. Based on the past, one could think Ellie is s spoiled brat, when in reality she is a sweet girl, far too good for her surroundings and in hindsight I found her past behaviour reasonable. Their reunion is not easy and they don't fall back into their old roles right away. Both are changed and more mature, but all the bad blood in the world could not keep these two away from each other.
Relentless is the fourth instalment in the Renegades series and can be read as a standalone, but characters from the previous books have cameos and knowing them might help to understand the overall dynamics within this universe.
All in all I would say this is a wonderful light and sexy summer read. Hot stuntmen, sweet country stars and scorching masked encounters.

About the Author
Skye Jordan is a pseudonym for New York Times bestselling romantic suspense author Joan Swan. Skye’s novels are about enjoying that little wild streak we don’t let out often enough. About those fantasies we rarely get the opportunity to indulge. About stretching limits, checking out the dark side, and maybe even acting a little naughty. They’re about escape and fun and pleasure and romance.
And, yes, even love, because while wicked-great sex is good, happily ever after with wicked-great sex is even better.
Skye (aka Joan) lives on the central coast of California in the heart of wine country with her husband and two daughters. As often as possible, she retreats to a hotel with critique partners for a power-writing week where much drinking, laughing, and yes, even working, ensues. When she’s not writing, Skye goes to breakfast with her hubby, attends her daughters’ barrel races, and spends a lot of time with her own horse, Riddle…while her two dogs, Paxton and Indie, tag along. She also loves to read, knit, craft, row, ride, and dabble in photography.
