Title: Ravage
Author: Tillie Cole
Series: Scarred Souls #3
Genre: dark romance
Taken by the Jakhua Clan as a teen, 194 was stripped of his name, his identity, and his freewill, meticulously honed to be a ruthless, soulless killing machine, trained solely to spill blood and stop hearts. This is a role he resents with every fiber of his being, but one he embraces to gain back the precious leverage the Georgians wield as their weapon of control: his younger sister, 152.
Mzia Kostava is in shock. After fleeing her mafia family's massacre in Georgia as a child, Mzia lives in secret, hiding from her enemies in the dark shadows of Manhattan. At age twenty-five, believing all her family is dead, word reaches Mzia that her brother Zaal is very much alive... and living with their family's greatest enemy: the Volkov Bratva in Brooklyn.
Yearning to be reunited with her beloved Zaal, Mzia risks her safety and anonymity for the brother she had mourned since childhood. But just as she reaches Zaal's apartment, Mzia is seized and taken captive by a strange man, who is strong, dark, and brutal... Unyielding, he demands her utter obedience as he locks her away in darkness. He is highly skilled in torture and inflicting pain, and demands to know everything about her brother Zaal and everything about her. He is a man that'll do anything to get what he wants.
Sometimes love requires the sacrifice and betrayal of those held most dear. But is finding one's true love worth committing the greatest sacrifice of all?

SANDY’S REVIEW
*3.5 monster stars*
This must be by far the most aggravated, sickening, disturbing, horrifying and heartbreaking dark book I’ve read from Tillie Cole.
It wasn’t an easy read for me, yet I finished this book in one night, I mean what’s the point of sleep when you know it’s going to haunt your thoughts and induce anxiety!
Here I am, writing this review days after finishing the book and I still feel my stomach churning everytime I think of the horrendous events that took place in the course of this book. If you dig such heightened emotions this book is definitely for you if not, you might need a friend, a punching bag, a paper bag (to breath into), a bottle of wine, box of tissues or a therapist. Either way, you’re in for one hell of a dark ride!
If you are thoroughly warned, let’s get down to the business!
Third book in the Scarred Souls series, Ravage picks up where Reap has ended but this time it’s a story of another innocent soul being destroyed, humanity shredded and making him a killing machine by a bunch of inhumane Georgian group called Night’s Wraith.
This is the tragic story of 194 and how he became a MONSTER
“It was cruelty born from the duty of love.”
Abducted as Kids and trained to be an obedient slave under the influence of drugs, Valentin has become everything his Mistress aka evil heartless bitch has a wanted him to be - a ruthless cold hearted killer, her personal assassin. He despises every single thing he has done, buries his rage deep within every time he obeys her and embraces his darkest side just to keep his younger sister ‘152’ safe or one day to get her out of this hell. A promise he intends to keep no matter the amount of blood he has to shed.
As the years passed, I became a ghost in the night. Now that bitch wants him to capture Zaal, for killing her lover (Zaal’s former master) in any means possible to ensure his sister’s safety.
I became the deliverer of death.
I was torture.
I was pain.
I was the fucking nightmare that no one ever saw coming…
…until it was too late.
Zoey has been in hiding ever since she had survived the night that saw the downfall of Kostava Clan and massacred her entire family. When she finds out about Zaal and his survival, she risks her safety and identity to reunite with him after years of mourning her dear brother’s death.
Before she even gets a chance to meet him in person, Zoey is captured by this monstrous man and now held as his prisoner. He uses his torturous skills to find out her connection with Zaal and goes to any extent to get answers from her. But Zoey is resilient and holds her ground, never giving her captor the satisfaction of breaking her.
Ravage is another great addition to the Scarred Souls series, it has lived up to its name of delivering dark and tormented alpha male who is driven by rage and love towards his family.
Tillie Cole is master of words and emotions. This book is a total page tuner! while the brutality of certain scenes causes heart palpitation, the love blooming midst the horrific situation is beautiful feeling in itself; typical Tillie Cole’s signature, she makes you go through array of emotions every single time.
While Valentin and Zoey’s character shows lot of depth and complexity, their love for each other really didn’t connect with me. It was a case of insta-love, that made second half of the story less appealing to me. Nevertheless, it was intense, packed with enough suspense and drama to keep you on edge, plus characters from the previous books makes an appearance.
The most devastating part of the story for me was 152, Valentin’s baby sister ‘Inessa’. Her story is the next in this series. To read what happened to her from the flashbacks and through him was traumatising but to actually get into her head, to know all the abuse she endured, would be death of me!
I don’t care if I die reading but I’ve to know if she got out of that hell and has a happy ending!
