Title: Beautiful Disaster
Author: Jamie McGuire
Series: Beautiful #1
Genre: new adult, college

The new Abby Abernathy is a good girl. She doesn’t drink or swear, and she has the appropriate number of cardigans in her wardrobe. Abby believes she has enough distance from the darkness of her past, but when she arrives at college with her best friend, her path to a new beginning is quickly challenged by Eastern University's Walking One-Night Stand.

Travis Maddox, lean, cut, and covered in tattoos, is exactly what Abby needs—and wants—to avoid. He spends his nights winning money in a floating fight ring, and his days as the ultimate college campus charmer. Intrigued by Abby’s resistance to his appeal, Travis tricks her into his daily life with a simple bet. If he loses, he must remain abstinent for a month. If Abby loses, she must live in Travis’s apartment for the same amount of time. Either way, Travis has no idea that he has met his match.

SANDY’S REVIEW

Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

“I have to say, I was a bit nervous about picking up the woman Travis Maddox is in love with....from his apartment. You don't know how many people have accused me of insanity today”

yeah I know!! sounds complicated right?? well that's what this whole book is about.

Travis Maddox- sexy, impulsive, hot-tempered bare knuckle fighter known for his one night stands until his world was turned upside down when he met Abby Abernathy who was supposed to stay away from bad boy like Travis. The bet which she lost brought them together she went from hating him to being best friends and ultimately falling in love with him..

what I liked about the book is that its unpredictable: them staying together and spending almost every second with each other and still avoiding their feeling! neither of them are willing to just come out and say it, scared that if their friendship will be ruined or worst...ruin each other!!

Travis went from having no respect for woman to loving Abby to the extent he needs her every second of his life just so that he can breathe peacefully, and that made him possessive, more impulsive into wrecking things, to being dangerous to himself and anyone who crosses his path. on the other hand Abby was being the pain in the ASS!! how can any one push away a boyfriend who loves you so much, willing to do just about anything to make you happy, who changed his entire persona just for her.

It was frustrating at some point when Abby is being selfish enough to not to see how Travis is suffering and knowing she is the only one that could save him from all the misery. But at some level she was right to keep him away of her own darkness. Regardless of all the joy and peace she brought to him all the time, he became more reckless and volatile in her presence! cant blame her though every time the opportunity presented itself to make things right he screws it up the very minute he opens his mouth, maybe that's why I love this book. It kept the level of intensity through out, I din't know what was coming next moreover I loved their whole love/hate relationship, their love story was indeed a "BEAUTIFUL DISASTER"

I'l wind up with my favorite line from the book
“I need to hear you say it. I need to know you’re mine.” “I’ve been yours since the second we met.”
“-It's over. Go home. -You're my home.”
