TBT#2 - Review: Walking Disaster by Jamie McGuire

Hey everyone, Sandy here!! Finally #Throwback Thursdays here.... Whoohoo!! (In case you've forgotten or if you are new to our blog-this is the day I post my old reviews!!) So this week it's going to be Beautiful series. Doesn't ring any bell? wait for it...."Shake in your boots, boys, and drop your panties, ladies! I give you : Travis 'Mad Dog' Maddox!" Remember Travis and his insanely obsessive love for his Pigeon aka Abby????

Title: Walking Disaster
Author: Jamie McGuire
Series: Beautiful #2
Genre: new adult, College
Can you love someone too much?

Travis Maddox learned two things from his mother before she died: Love hard. Fight harder.

In Walking Disaster; the life of Travis is full of fast women, underground gambling, and violence. But just when he thinks he is invincible, Abby Abernathy brings him to his knees.

Every story has two sides. In Beautiful Disaster, Abby had her say. Now it’s time to see the story through Travis’s eyes.

SANDY’S REVIEW

Walking Disaster by Jamie McGuire
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Good to be in Travis Maddox's head for a change!!I already loved him in Beautiful Disaster but now I adore him.

Finally the mystery behind the nickname Pigeon revealed...

I am glad that I read this book, whatever emotions I saw Travis going through was magnified ten times now that I see this story from his point of view.

I felt so sympathetic towards him throughout this book- his loss, anger, jealousy, desire to change, desperation to get Abby back, his hope and the intoxicating love for Abby which brought his entire world crashing down.

I couldn't give same rating as Beautiful disaster as I already knew what was going to happen so it lacked curiosity and few of the important scenes were skipped!! but it was refreshing to see more of Shepley and Travis's conversation, The Maddox clan and THE EPILOGUE...WOW!! I wish that was made into a book ;)

My favorite part of the book is the PROLOGUE: little Travis with his mother and her words which was branded in his head.
