ARC Review: The Chateau (The Original Sinners #9) by Tiffany Reisz

Title: The Chateau
Author: Tiffany Reisz
Series: The Original Sinners #9
Genre: erotica, contemporary

As the Jack-of-All-Wicked-Trades for a secretive French military intelligence agency, 24-year-old Lieutenant Kingsley Boissonneault has done it all—spied, lied, and killed under orders. But his latest assignment is quite out of the ordinary. His commanding officer's nephew has disappeared inside a sex cult, and Kingsley has been tasked with bringing him home to safety.

The cult’s holy book is Story of O, the infamous French novel of extreme sado-masochism. Their château is a looking-glass world where women reign and men are their willing slaves. Or are they willing? It’s Kingsley’s mission to find out.

Once inside the château, however, Kingsley quickly falls under the erotic spell cast by the enigmatic Madame, a woman of wisdom, power, and beauty. She offers Kingsley the one thing he’s always wanted. But the price? Giving up forever the only person he’s ever loved.

SANDY’S REVIEW

4.5 *Kingsley*Stars

Mon Dieu……this book left me breathless!

description

I had my doubts before but I am confident that Ms. Reisz is definitely from a different planet. I don’t think it’s humanly possible to create a dimension full of complicated yet perfect characters that you keep falling in love over and over again, falling so HARD it practically hurts to live without them. The Original Sinners has ALWAYS been special to me, they’ve attained such heights that no human can outwrite them except if you are Tiffany Reisz.

The Chateau was nothing short of spectacular, it was erotic, poetic, riveting, serene, yet exquisitely sadistic. This book gave me much-needed insight into unexplored years of Kingsley’s life when he was young and still in love with the blonde monster he can’t seem to forget.

description

If you are a fan of this series, the blurb is enough to seal the deal. So, I’ll be vague about the story. It’s been seven years since Kingsley last saw Søren, yet his every touch, his feel still haunts him. As a Lieutenant working for French secret military agency King’s current assignment is to retrieve the commanding officer’s nephew from a sex cult practicing sado-masochism from an unknown location in Paris. What follows once King is inside the château run by the dominatrix Madame is truly spellbinding. Madame, an enigmatic and a powerful character in this book, she takes sadism to a whole different level. Kingsley, as we know him today, is because of her. The very foundation of him and his kingdom was built in The Chateau.

The Chateau details the suffering and conflict Kingsley faces during his separation from Søren. Though this book is all about King, Søren’s presence was overwhelming in every chapter, in King’s every thought. This book was a truly a tribute to Kingsley’s unconditional love to Søren. And that’s why I loved it so much. Kingsley is not who is without Søren, the blonde monster who created him. This goes to show how much Tiffany is true to her characters. She captured the essence and beauty of submission with great clarity that one has to shed all the doubts about this being a dark lifestyle. If I adored her before now I worship the ground she walks on.

Don't disappoint our mistress people, READ THIS BOOK!
