Title: Sidebarred
Author: Emma Chase
Series: The Legal Briefs #3.5
Genre: contemporary romance
Join Jake & Chelsea, Stanton & Sofia, Brent & Kennedy as they navigate the hilarious and heartwarming hurdles of love, life and the law in this final addition to the Legal Briefs Series.
There was a time when Jake Becker had it all together. He was controlled, driven, ruthless—in and out of the courtroom.
Then, six irresistible orphans and their heartbreakingly beautiful aunt crashed into his perfectly ordered life. They changed everything. They changed him. Now he’s a husband, an upstanding member of society, a father figure—a family man. And he’s pretty damn good at it.
Sure, he has to referee sibling smackdowns, re-learn algebra, ensure his clients stay of jail, and keep his wife happy—but it finally feels like he’s got it together again.... So, of course something has to screw it all up.
It’s huge. Life-changing. Kind of terrifying.
And it will be the most amazing, perfect thing he’ll ever do.

SANDY’S REVIEW
4 *Perfection* stars
Hands down, Sustained is my favourite Emma Chase book to date. Be it brooding alpha male, swoon worthy scenes, off the chart hotness and add to it bunch of adorable noisy bickering kids, BAM!! You get one helluva hilarious, heart-warming romantic story. So to get an additional novella of all your favourite characters is like a dream come true - THANK YOU EMMA CHASE!!!
‘Sidebarred’ takes place four years after ‘Sustained’ and not to be read as standalone. Gone are the days when Jake Becker lead a life of a hardcore bachelor, dedicating all his time solving cases and keeping criminals out of streets but now he is full time husband and a father figure to six lovely kids. In this cute li’l story we get to see Jake in all new role of parenting, it’s just swoon-worthy!
“There will never be anything sexier than watching you with your muscles and tattoos- braiding a seven-year-old’s hair.”
If you’ve read previous books this series, trust me you don’t want to miss this! It’s indeed a great conclusion to the Legal Briefs gang and those extended epilogue was just icing on the cake.
