TBT #15 - Review: Alex by Sawyer Bennett

★TBT #15★
This week we bring you Sawyer Bennett's Alex (Cold Fury Hockey #1). This was an easy read with no OTT drama, no annoying characters, but plain cute love story with lot of HOT SEX and funny dialogues.

Title: Alex
Author: Sawyer Bennett
Series: Cold Fury Hockey #1
Genre: contemporary romance

Hockey star Alexander Crossman has a reputation as a cold-hearted player on and off the rink. Pushed into the sport by an alcoholic father, Alex isn't afraid to give fans the proverbial middle finger, relishing his role as the MVP they love to hate. Management, however, isn't so amused. Now Alex has a choice: fix his public image through community service or ride the bench. But Alex refuses to be molded into the Carolina Cold Fury poster boy . . . not even by a tempting redhead with killer curves.

As a social worker, Sutton Price is accustomed to difficult people--like Alex, who's been assigned to help her create a drug-abuse awareness program for at-risk youth as part of the team's effort to clean up his image. What she doesn't expect is the arrogant smirk from his perfect lips to stir her most heated fantasies. But Sutton isn't one to cross professional boundaries--and besides, Alex doesn't do relationships . . . or does he? The more she sees behind Alex's bad-boy facade, the more Sutton craves the man she uncovers."

SANDY’S REVIEW

Alex by Sawyer Bennett
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

*3.5 cover licking stars*

description

Alex Crossman-‘Most valuable prick’ with no friends no social life, even with all the fame doesn’t care for the game nor his fans, he don’t do relationships but uses woman only for his sexual needs, everything changes when he meets Sutton price A social worker/counselor who is assigned to help him create awareness for drug crises in order to change his MVP image. The rest is predictable!! They are very much attracted to each other, next thing you know they are fucking the hell out of each other. Sutton brings good out of Alex, he starts loving his game, make friends shows his sensitive side and for the first time living his life and falling in love but when things seems good that’s when our MVP screws up!!!

This was easy read with no OTT drama, no annoying characters, but plain cute love story with lot of HOT SEX and funny dialogues. I love the ending with a romantic gesture from the movie “Love Actually” *swoooooning*. This story also brings up the social issue of drug/alcohol abuse and how it could be dealt with loving support of family and well wishers.
