Review: The Hating Game by Sally Thorne

Title: The Hating Game
Author: Sally Thorne
Series: none
Genre: contemporary romance

Nemesis (n.)
1) An opponent or rival whom a person cannot best or overcome;
2) A person’s undoing;
3) Joshua Templeman.

Lucy Hutton and Joshua Templeman hate each other. Not dislike. Not begrudgingly tolerate. Hate. And they have no problem displaying their feelings through a series of ritualistic passive aggressive maneuvers as they sit across from each other, executive assistants to co-CEOs of a publishing company. Lucy can’t understand Joshua’s joyless, uptight, meticulous approach to his job. Joshua is clearly baffled by Lucy’s overly bright clothes, quirkiness, and Pollyanna attitude.

Now up for the same promotion, their battle of wills has come to a head and Lucy refuses to back down when their latest game could cost her her dream job…But the tension between Lucy and Joshua has also reached its boiling point, and Lucy is discovering that maybe she doesn’t hate Joshua. And maybe, he doesn’t hate her either. Or maybe this is just another game.

SANDY’S REVIEW

*5+ stars*

“Happiness. A better life. Red Lipstick and those sunglasses.”
description

Is it possible to be so overwhelmed by the awesomeness of this book that you end up laughing and crying at the same time?! Well, this book did exactly that.

This was one insanely-crazy-delightful read, so much so that I want to marry and have babies with this book!
YEP, I’ve totally lost it.

In short, this story was created in the book heaven with right mixture of laughter, romance, banters, wit and best lead characters who live to annoy the shit out of each other but eventually fall in love.

The Story was quite original and writing just spectacular, the author made this look seamlessly but delivered one of the best rom-com/enemies to lover’s premise of all time. What can I say about the characters? They are just as addicting as the story line.

If you’ve waited forever to read this book like me, do yourself a favor and read it now!!

Definitely a re-read material and going on my top favorites of all time.
